Raise your arms and a drone army takes off to buzz menacingly in the air behind you. A quick gesture is all it takes to send it flying forward, dodging obstacles or landing safely at its objective. In this course, students will learn the programming language of Python to design and code a user interface for controlling drones, using a Kinect sensor and a screen. Students will explore common control structures used to control robotics. In the final sessions, students will discover a series of challenges they must pilot their drone through using their control system. This a great way to buff up a student’s knowledge of Python and learn how to combine Python code with other code systems, such as the Kinect API and drone API.
